Error messages
Say what happened and what to do.
- Generic error Snippet Something went wrong. Something went wrong on our side. Please try again in a moment.
- Network error Snippet No connection. You seem to be offline. Check your connection and try again.
- Timeout error Snippet Took too long. This is taking longer than usual. Try again, or check your connection.
- Form field required Snippet Missing input. Enter your [Field] to continue.
- Invalid email Snippet Bad email format. That email address does not look right. Check for typos, like a missing @.
- Password too short Snippet Password rule. Use at least 12 characters.
- Passwords do not match Snippet Confirm password. The passwords do not match. Try typing them again.
- Wrong password Snippet Sign-in failed. That password is not right. Try again or reset it.
- Account not found Snippet No account. We could not find an account with that email. Check it or create an account.
- Payment declined Snippet Card error. Your card was declined. Try another card or contact your bank.
- File too large Snippet Upload limit. That file is over [Limit]. Choose a smaller file.
- Unsupported file Snippet Wrong file type. We cannot open [Type] files. Try [Supported].
- Permission denied Snippet No access. You do not have access to this [Thing]. Ask [Owner] to share it with you.
- Not found page Snippet 404. We could not find that page. It may have moved. Try the search, or head back home.
- Server error page Snippet 500. Something broke on our end. We have been notified and are on it.
- Rate limited Snippet Too many tries. Too many attempts. Please wait [Minutes] minutes and try again.
- Session expired Snippet Signed out. For your security, you have been signed out. Sign in again to continue.
- Save failed Snippet Could not save. Your changes could not be saved. Copy your work somewhere safe and try again.
Empty states
First-run and nothing-here screens.

Confirmations and dialogs
