Frequently asked questions

How do I open the clipboard picker?

Click the ClipBuddy icon in the menu bar, or press the global keyboard shortcut. You can view and change the shortcut anytime in Settings → General.

How do I restore a purchase or manage my subscription?

Open Settings → Account in the app and choose Restore Purchases. Subscriptions are billed by Apple — manage or cancel them anytime in System Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → Subscriptions, or at apple.com/account.

Is my clipboard data private?

Yes. ClipBuddy stores your clipboard history only on your Mac — nothing is uploaded or shared. See our Privacy page for details.

The app asked for a permission — why?

ClipBuddy only asks for the access it needs to do what you asked (for example, reading a file you chose to save). You can review and change these anytime in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

A clip didn’t get captured

Some apps mark sensitive copies (passwords, secure fields) as private, and ClipBuddy deliberately does not store those. If a normal copy isn’t showing up, quit and reopen ClipBuddy, or email us and we’ll investigate.
