Accessibility at ClipBuddy

ClipBuddy is built keyboard-first, the picker, settings and paywall are all fully operable without a mouse, and it honors the macOS accessibility settings you already use, system-wide, with nothing to configure inside the app.

VoiceOver

• Every clip card, icon button, toggle and Vault card tile carries a descriptive VoiceOver label.
• Rotor actions on clip cards: Copy, Pin and Delete without leaving the card.
• Tab changes, search context and confirmations (“Copied”, “Pinned”) are spoken as announcements - the visual HUD is never the only feedback.

Full keyboard access

• One keystroke opens the picker (⌘⇧V, rebindable); typing filters; arrows navigate the grid; ⏎ acts on the selected clip.
• A complete keyboard-shortcuts reference lives on ⌘/ inside the picker.
• Focus rings are visible on every focusable control, including the paywall.

Reduced Motion

• When macOS Reduce Motion is on, ClipBuddy collapses its animations to instant transitions - no sliding, scaling or pulsing anywhere in the app.

Contrast & color

• Increase Contrast strengthens borders, text and control edges throughout.
• Reduce Transparency replaces glass and blur with solid fills.
• Differentiate Without Color Alone: color is never the only signal, selection states, category chips and status badges always pair a glyph or text with their color.
• Dark Interface: a full dark theme across every screen, menu and control (follow-system, or forced light/dark from the picker).

Text size

• Picker text scales through four sizes (Compact / Default / Large / XL) from a single button - no digging through settings.

Voice, on-device

• Optional voice search transcribes entirely on your Mac (no audio ever uploaded), speak a query instead of typing it.
