Themes, glass and typography
27 curated combos, real custom hex slots, and a font size for the picker alone.
What it does
Appearance settings cover three separate things: the color pairing, the surface material, and the type.
The 27 combos
Themes come as coordinated accent and card-tint pairs, grouped so you can find a mood rather than a hex value:
- Warm: Sunset, Amber, Gold, Crimson, Rose, Clementine, Banana, Sunrise, Coffee
- Cool: Ocean, Teal, Indigo, Mint, Lagoon, Sea Glass, Mood Indigo
- Rich: Forest, Grape, Berry, Aubergine, Jade, Raspberry, Lemon Lime
- Neutral: Classic, Slate, Gray, Super Black
Custom hex
If none of them is your palette, set six values yourself: drawer background, card background, primary text, secondary text, accent highlight and hairlines. That is the whole surface, so a brand palette is reachable without waiting for a theme.
Tips
- On an OLED or XDR display, Super Black plus solid surfaces is the version that looks like nothing at all is on screen.
- Glass mode reads best over a calm wallpaper. Photographs with strong contrast fight the card text.
Restyle the picker
- 1 Pick a combo
Choose from 27 coordinated accent and card-tint pairings grouped as Warm, Cool, Rich and Neutral.
- 2 Choose a surface
Turn on frosted glass for a translucent blurred background that lets your wallpaper show through, or keep solid surfaces for maximum contrast.
- 3 Go darker if you want
Super Black is a true #000000 surface built for Liquid Retina XDR and external OLED displays, where black pixels switch off.
- 4 Set your own colors and type
Define exact hex values for the drawer background, card background, primary and secondary text, accent and hairlines, then pick a font and one of five text sizes for the picker.
Frequently asked questions
Does the text size setting change the whole app?
No. Picker typography is separate, so you can enlarge the picker without resizing the rest of ClipBuddy.
Which fonts can I choose?
SF Pro, SF Mono, SF Pro Rounded and New York Serif. The change applies live, with no restart.
Is glass mode bad for contrast?
It can be over a busy wallpaper. Solid surfaces exist for exactly that case, and contrast was verified across every accent combo in both light and dark.
