If a notification doesn't arrive
- Allow notifications. Reminder Buddy asks after your first reminder, not when it opens. If you tapped Don't Allow, turn them on: on iPhone and iPad in Settings, Notifications, Reminder Buddy; on a Mac in System Settings, Notifications, Reminder Buddy.
- Check Focus and Silent mode. Reminder Buddy's notifications follow them like any other app's. A nag you keep ignoring is sent as Time Sensitive from its third repeat, so it can come through a Focus that allows Time Sensitive notifications. Keep Time Sensitive Notifications on for Reminder Buddy on the same Settings page.
- Keep Background App Refresh on (iPhone and iPad). A nag's repeats are lined up 12 at a time and topped up in the background. If a long nag goes quiet, check Settings, General, Background App Refresh. Opening the app tops them up too.
Privacy
Reminder Buddy collects no data: no account, no server, no analytics. Your reminders stay on your device. Read the privacy policy.
Questions
How do I stop a nag?
Mark it done. In the notification, tap Done (on iPhone press and hold the notification first, on iPad pull it down), or tick the reminder in the app. Snooze 10 min, Snooze 1 hour and Tomorrow move it later instead.
What does Alarm do?
On a Mac, an alarm opens a window you have to answer. On iPhone and iPad, Alarm repeats like a nag until you tap Done, and it doesn't ring through Silent mode.
Is Reminder Buddy free?
Every feature is free for up to 10 open reminders. Pro removes the limit with one purchase. There is no subscription.
I bought Pro. How do I get it on my other devices?
One purchase covers Reminder Buddy on iPhone, iPad and Mac when they use the same Apple Account. It usually shows up by itself. If it doesn't, open Account in Reminder Buddy's settings and tap Restore.
Do my reminders sync between my devices?
No. There is no account and no server, so each device keeps its own reminders.
What can I import?
A photo, a PDF, a text file or text you paste, such as a prescription or a class timetable. Reminder Buddy reads it on your device and suggests reminders with times and how many days to keep going. You check each one before anything is added. It gives no medical advice, so check doses and times with your doctor or pharmacist.
Can I get my history out?
Yes. In Settings, open Data & privacy and use Export CSV next to Every answer you gave. The file lists what was done, late and skipped, with times, and opens in Numbers or Excel.
What do I need?
An iPhone with iOS 17 or later, an iPad with iPadOS 17 or later, or a Mac with macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
